The financial aid system creates unnecessary pressure on parents to pay college expenses for their college-bound student.  I truly believe that the burden should not be placed on the parents.  It should be on the student seeking a college education.  Here is why I beleive the student should embrace the responsibilty.  Firstly, a college education is not an investment.  It’s an individual (student) accomplishment.  A parent spending money toward a college education can not determine what their expected return would be. Parents cannot expect any monenary gain or reward. There goal is to build wealth and pass it down.  I aquired a college education and neither of my parents made a financial contribution.  It is the student’s dream.  A dream the student would have make a reality.

Secondly,  there are more financial opportunities today in the history of the financial aid process.  It would not be smart for a first-generation parent to try to finance a college expenses without having any financial resources or a middle-class parent to use there savings or retirement.  As  middle-class parents we will not assist in financiang our children’s college education.  If they want to achieve a college education, we will provide all the necessary information to guide them and give them emotional support.  You see, our goal is to pass down wealth we accumulated (to the next generation.) A college education, they will have to get on their own.  Period.  College-bound students need to HUSTLE! and make their dreams come true.

There are BILLIONS of traditional college funds available (about $300 billion dollars according to Octamoron Associates) each year for college-bound students.  Seriously.  I am talking about monies you don’t have to pay back.  Check out these numbers.  There are about 400 million people in the United States.  It only requires a half of billion (500 million dollars)  out of the 300 billion dollars to pay everyone that is a citizen and eligible non-citizen full tuition for four years.  Please note that everyone would get a million dollars (if the millions of dollars were distributed equally.)  There’s more than enough money.  Also, about 22 million students apply and use  financial aid each year.  Much less than 400 million living in the U.S.  So there is plenty of money to be had if you are knowledgable about the financial aid game.  The colleges are aware of these numbers that is why the cost of college continue to rise.  If the colleges were charging a million dollars to each student to enroll, based on what is available in college funding today, it wouldn’t scratch the surface.  There’s plenty of money available.  Hustle and get that money.

Free money for college does not EXIST.  So many parents with college-bound students are fooled every year believing that college costs can be paid with free money.  That’s a lie.  First, let’s define the word money.  Money  means a medium of EXCHANGE, trade or barter.  The word free is not mentioned in the definition.  You have to DO something to RECEIVE Something.  That’s money.  Having said that, there are only three ways to get traditional cash for college.  They are  through an Athletic Scholarship, Academic Scholarship or Aquired Specialized knowledge.  They ALL cost.  They are not FREE.  For example, to win an athletic scholarship  a student athlete have to work hard developing their skills for many years, go to paid training camps, paid academic training and be on a winning High School team.  It ‘s Not FREE.  To win an academic scholarship, a student will have to put in countless hours studying, do paid SAT or ACT training, do extra curricula activities and be in the top ten of his or her class.  It’s Not FREE.  To maximized on finacial aid,  you have to acquire specialized knowledge by investing in  financial aid workshops, professional guidance, financial aid books and materials.  It’s Not FREE.   Knowing these things will give you leverage it maximizing on financial aid opportunities you don’t have to back to cover college costs.  There are BILLIONS of dollars available if you are willing to HUSTLE!  Remember, you have to Do something to RECIVE something.  That’s  MONEY.

Students and parents will continue to face the rising cost of an education for the next 20 years.  If you are putting all your efforts on the traditional way or using student loans to pay for college, you are  heading for a disaster.  One way to prevent all of that from happening is crowdfunding.  Crowdfunding is a practice of funding projects by raising sums of money from large number of people using the internet.  There are no strict rules or regulations to get these funds like the traditional way of funding college.  You must have a story that would interest these groups to fund your project.  This is a smart way to generate money you don’t have to payback.  You can get more information from these sites on the internet: Gofundme, Gradsave, Givecollege, Upstart, Pave, Scholarmatch, Incited.  Be aggressive.  Hustle! and get that money.
